Medical Transport Driver /Attendant

Job description

Pier 180 Inc is currently seeking full time non-emergency medical transportation drivers and attendants who is caring, reliable and responsible. Will be transporting stretcher clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, dialysis centers, physical therapy, etc. in a safe, secure and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients and coworkers.
  • Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
  • Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Transporting clients to appointments and treatments utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid Drivers License .
  • No moving violations in the last 3 years (does not apply for attendant position).
  • Must have a clean background check and pass a drug screen.
  • Available to work between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
  • Must be reliable and on-time.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous NEMT experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have a passion for helping others

Physical Demands

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting patients on stretchers, throughout the day.
  • Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Early morning and an occasional holiday may be required as schedule demands.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Flexible

Experience:

  • Van driver: 1 year (Preferred)
